1. Information stored on your device
The game saves the following on your device so it can keep your progress and apply your choices:
- Game progress: cleared levels and the stars earned on each level.
- Hints: how many free hints you have and when the next one refills.
- Settings: sound effects, music, haptics and language.
This information is not sent to us. The game does not ask for your name, phone number, email address or any other contact details in order to play.
2. Google user data (Google Play Games sign-in)
Signing in with Google Play Games is optional, and you can play every level without it. If you sign in, the game uses Google Play Games Services to back up your progress. This section explains exactly what Google user data the game accesses and how it is handled.
- Data accessed
- Your Google Play Games player ID and gamer display name, and the Saved Games data that Eyes Match itself creates in your account (your stars and cleared levels). The game does not request your email address, contacts, Google Drive files, photos or any other Google Account data.
- How it is used
- Only to show which Play Games account is connected, to keep progress separate for each account, and to back up and restore your stars and cleared levels on your devices.
- Where it is stored
- On your device and in Saved Games in your Google Play Games account, which Google stores for you. It is never sent to a STARRY server; we do not operate one.
- Sharing and transfer
- Never shared with, sold or transferred to anyone. Never used for advertising, and never used to develop, improve or train AI or machine learning models.
- Human access
- No one at STARRY can read this data.
- Retention and deletion
- Kept until you delete it. In the Google Play Games app, open Settings → Delete Play Games account & data to delete the data for Eyes Match. Clearing the game's data or uninstalling it removes the copy on your device.
Eyes Match's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
Google handles the sign-in itself under its own privacy policy. We never receive your Google password. You can review the apps that have access to your Google Account at https://myaccount.google.com/connections
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to offer rewarded ads. An ad plays only when you choose to watch one, for example to refill your hints. The following information may be collected and shared automatically when ads are requested or shown:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device identifiers such as the advertising ID and app set ID;
- interactions with the app and ads, such as app launches, taps and ad views;
- diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data.
This information is used to deliver ads, measure ad performance, improve the service and prevent fraud. Depending on your consent and ad settings, it may also be used for personalized ads. The exact data processed can vary with the SDK version, your device and your ad settings.
Where required, the game asks for your consent before showing ads. You can review or change your choice at any time under Ad privacy choices in the game's settings, and manage your advertising ID in your device's privacy or ads settings.
4. Contacting support
Contact support in the game only prepares a draft in your email app. Nothing is sent until you send the email yourself.
If you leave Include problem details turned on, the draft includes the app version and build, Android version, device manufacturer and model, game language, a progress summary such as total stars and hints, ad and cloud save status, and the level and moves you most recently played. You can preview the email and turn this off before sending.
We use your email address and the contents of your message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them for longer.
5. Permissions
- Internet and network state
- Load ads, sync Google Play Games cloud saves and check that you are online. The game needs an internet connection to play.
- Advertising ID
- Used by Google AdMob to show and measure ads, subject to your consent and device settings.
The game does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.
6. Third-party services and international transfers
Google AdMob, Google Play Games and Google Play process information under Google's own policies, and that information may be transferred to and processed on servers outside the Republic of Korea. You can read how Google handles this information here:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone else.
7. Retention and deletion
- Progress and settings on your device: clear the app's data in Android Settings → Apps → Eyes Match → Storage, or uninstall the game.
- If Android backup is turned on, your device may back up and restore app data according to your backup settings and Google's policies.
- Cloud saves: delete them from your Google Play Games account settings. Uninstalling the game does not delete them.
- Ad data: retained and deleted under Google's policies. We cannot view or delete information held by Google.
- Support emails: deleted once your request is resolved and they are no longer needed, unless the law requires otherwise.
8. Children
Eyes Match is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not designed for children under 13 (under 14 in Korea), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, California privacy law and Korea's Personal Information Protection Act may give you rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to it.
- Change your ad consent under Ad privacy choices in the game's settings.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings. Even if you opt out of personalized ads, you may still see ads, and information needed to deliver ads and prevent fraud may still be processed.
- Disconnect Google Play Games or delete its saved data in your Google account.
For any other request about your information, email support@starrybits.com. We will review and handle your request as required by applicable law.
10. Security
We limit access to personal information to what is necessary and maintain the app and its components to protect your information. Data stored on your device is protected by Android's app sandbox, and we recommend keeping a screen lock on your device.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game's features, the external services it uses or the applicable laws change. We will post the update on this page and change the effective date above, and give notice in the game for material changes.
