GLP Flow Privacy Policy

Effective

This policy explains how GLP Flow (the “app”), an Android app published by STARRY (“we”, “us”), handles your information. GLP Flow is an offline tracker for GLP-1 medications such as Mounjaro, Wegovy, Saxenda and Foundayo, your weight and your dose history.

In short: everything you record stays on your phone. The app has no account, no server, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We never receive your records, so we cannot see, use, sell or recover them.

This policy covers GLP Flow only. Our other apps are covered by the general STARRY privacy policy at https://starrybits.com/en/privacy

Information you enter

The app stores only what you type in. Apart from the medication you track, every profile field is optional and can be skipped or left blank.

Profile
Name or nickname, date of birth, sex, height, and starting, current and goal weight
Medication
Medication name, start date, current dose, dose change history and, for weekly medications, your dose day
Records
Weight entries, medication logs, skipped doses and medication breaks, and any notes you add to them
Reminder settings
Whether reminders are on, the reminder time and follow-up reminder settings
Older backups
Symptom records imported from backups made by earlier versions, kept only so they can be restored and exported again

Much of this is health information. Because it never leaves your device unless you export it, we do not collect it within the meaning of data protection laws, but we describe it here so you know exactly what the app keeps.

How the app uses it

All processing happens on your device. The app uses your records to:

  • show your medication schedule (due today, done, overdue and next dose);
  • calculate weight change by dose period, BMI, progress toward your goal and how closely you followed your schedule;
  • build the record summary image you can show your healthcare provider;
  • schedule medication reminders on your device.

The app does not profile you, make automated decisions about you or use AI. The symptom tab shows built-in reference information and does not read or record your data.

Where it is stored

Your records are kept in a database in the app's private storage, which Android keeps separate from other apps.

The app is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so your records are not copied to Google Drive or to a new phone automatically. To move to another device, export a JSON backup and import it on the new device.

What we do not collect

  • No account details such as email address or phone number.
  • No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access.
  • No advertising ID, no ad networks and no ad tracking. The app shows no ads.
  • No analytics, crash-reporting or other third-party SDKs that send data off your device.
  • No in-app purchases or payment information.

Exports, sharing and reminders

Your records leave your device only when you take one of these actions:

  • Export Records: a JSON backup file is saved to your device's Downloads folder.
  • Record summary image: saved to your photo gallery, or sent through the Android share sheet to an app or person you choose.

Exported files are not encrypted. Once you share or move a file, it is handled by the app, service or person that receives it under their own policies, and we cannot delete those copies. Keep backups somewhere safe and delete copies you no longer need.

Temporary files created for sharing are deleted when you export again and when you reset the app.

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by Android on your device; nothing is sent to a server. Depending on your notification settings, reminder text that mentions your medication may be visible on your lock screen.

Permissions

Notifications
Show medication reminders. Requested on Android 13 and later only when you turn reminders on. Optional.
Alarms & reminders
Deliver reminders at the exact time instead of a few minutes late. Requested only if you tap “Allow Exact Alarms” in the Profile tab. Optional.
Run at startup
Restore scheduled reminders after your phone restarts or the app is updated.
Storage (Android 9 and earlier)
Save backup files and summary images to Downloads and the gallery.
File picker
Import a backup. The app reads only the file you pick in the Android file picker.

Google Play

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information about your device and app installs, and crash and performance data if you allow your device to share usage and diagnostics, under Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Play Console shows us only aggregated, non-identifying statistics such as install counts and crash rates. It does not include your records.

Retention and deletion

Your records stay on your device until you delete them.

  • Delete a single record: in the Records tab, long-press the record.
  • Delete everything: in the Profile tab, tap Delete All Records. This removes all records in the app and its temporary export files.
  • Uninstall the app, or clear its data in Android Settings → Apps → the app → Storage. Either removes all app data.
  • Files you exported or shared are not affected by any of the above. Delete them where they are stored.

Because we never receive your data, we cannot delete, restore or recover it for you.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. Since no records reach us, we have nothing to disclose to anyone, including in response to legal requests.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (under 14 in Korea, or the minimum age set by your local law if higher). GLP-1 medications should be used only as prescribed and under the supervision of a healthcare provider.

Because the app sends no data to us, we hold no information about any child. A parent or guardian can remove a child's records at any time by resetting or uninstalling the app.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, California privacy law, Washington's My Health My Data Act and Korea's Personal Information Protection Act give you rights over your personal information. Because your records are only on your device, you exercise these rights directly in the app:

  • Access: view your records in the app, or export them.
  • Correction: tap any record or profile field to edit it.
  • Deletion: delete records, reset the app or uninstall it.
  • Portability: export a JSON backup file.

We do not collect, share or sell consumer health data, and we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

If you have questions about this policy or your rights, email support@starrybits.com.

Security

Your records are protected by Android's app sandbox and are excluded from automatic backups, and the app never sends them over the network. Your device's screen lock and storage encryption add further protection, so we recommend keeping a screen lock on.

Anyone who can unlock your phone, or who gets hold of an exported file, may be able to see your records. Keep both safe.

Changes to this policy

We will post any update on this page and change the effective date above. For material changes, we will also give notice on this page or in the app before they take effect.

If a future version adds a feature that sends data off your device, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent in the app before any data is sent.
